Neurosteer to Present at ApplySci MIT | 2023


NEW YORK, Sep. 1, 2023 -- Neurosteer founder and CEO, Nathan Intrator PhD, has been invited to be a main speaker at the ApplySci AI + Deep Tech + NeuroTech conference at MIT later this month.


On September 18 at 11:30am, Intrator will demonstrate Neurosteer’s breakthrough hdrEEG™ technology in support of his presentation titled “Brain Wellness and Very Early Detection of Neurodegeneration.”


This will be the first time the company presents its connectivity analysis, which has historically been performed by an fMRI. But unlike the room-sized fMRI scanner, Neurosteer’s low-cost hdrEEG system uses just a wireless, wearable, pocket-sized device in conjunction with an innovative adhesive forehead dry-gel electrode strip.


And unlike an fMRI, which measures blood flow as an indirect proxy for brain activity, Neurosteer’s system directly measures electrical brain activity with much higher resolution, and then utilizes cloud-based signal processing to detect pathway connectivity changes that occur with different neurodegenerative disorders.


Intrator will describe the changes related to early Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and how the company’s breakthrough technology can distinguish between different disorders.
